Short post this time but, I was having a conversation the other day with a friend of mine about the documentary I'm working on. She knew about it to some extent but asked me to explain what the idea is and why I pursued it in more depth.
As I started talking about the idea and the addictive experience one of my interviewees had with self- development, her eyes grew wide and said: " Wow! I've never thought about that before. I can't wait for you to finish the documentary so I can watch it but also show my friend. She really needs to see it!"
My heart filled with so much joy in that moment. One of the aims of this documentary is to educate young people about the downfalls of self- help. There are some individuals out there who know a lot of self- help theory but lack in action which can lead to other issues.
I just wanted to share how happy I am that this documentary is going in the right direction. I'm having high hopes for it and I definitely believe it will open the eyes to so many young viewers :)
